Welcome

Hi and thanks for visiting

My name is Catherine Hainstock, in 2011 I graduated from Charles Sturt University with a  Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship).

For as long as I can remember I have been a wonder-er, and hence a regular patron of public and school libraries. As a child I was lucky to have excellent role models and support for my great curiosity.

As an educator I now have the privilege of working with children and adults as they discover or rediscover the joys of  ‘finding out about things’. And as an information specialist, I can take my passion for lifelong learning a step further. My training allows me to assist others, not just to find information, but to find the  best information and then make the best use of it to understand, share, do or become whatever they wish.

Teacher Librarians are enablers! There’s no other job like it.

This is my professional portfolio. I’ve designed it to:

  • document experiences and achievements
  • map my professional knowledge and networks
  • support my career development
  • manage my continued professional development
